Brian Paddick on Twitter

BlogPulse.comでは毎日Top Linksを発表している。3月31日のランク12位にロンドン市長候補のBrian Paddickが、Twitterを使ってインタビューを受けるという話が入っている。

インタビューするにはTwitterのトップにフィーチャーされている彼の「Follower」になり、4月3日から8日の間に「d brianpaddick」、そして質問を打ち込めばいい。彼のWebサイトは下をクリック。


ビデオBlogを始めた英保守党党首のDavid Cameronや、わが子の出産をライブ中継したPaul Saarinenも紹介した。が、政治家で選挙にTwitterを使うのは初めてとなる。どんな質問、回答、激論になるのか楽しみだ。

彼らが新しいメディアを活用する積極性はどこから産まれてくるのだろう。既存メディアの訴求力が落ちているため、致し方なくという側面もあるだろうが、有権者が今、会話を行い情報やアイディアを交換、共有しているサイバースペースの価値を見る眼があるのだろう。既存メディアの亡霊に引きずられ、メディアシフトに対応できないラガードと、アーリーアダプターやアーリーマジョリティの勢いを比べた時、どのメディアが最も訴求力を持つかは明らかだ。

この価値を見る眼は何も政治家だけが備えているべきものではない。
